Illustrator Breana Marie discovered a love of art as a child, and throughout her professional career as an illustrator, her work has maintained the innocence and optimism of youth. A love of nature, Michigan pride, and a fascination with fairytales, particularly Alice in Wonderland, appear again and again as she finds new angles to unpack these childhood themes with a unique visual language. Using a color palette that favors chartreuse yellow, “fiesta” red, and blues ranging from cobalt to cerulean, her work sports a distinctive signature look across subjects.
