Vinyl Moon Artist Update: The Saxophones, Only Girl, Lyves...
SO many new releases are out this month. It's like all our Vinyl Moon artists weathered the April showers, and now we're getting lots of May...music. Come frolic in the fields with us as we explore what everyone's been making!
The Saxophones release single "Time Is Like A River" ahead of debut full album, Songs of The Saxophones
"If You're On The Water" - Volume 016 - Breathing Shadows
This single is patient, poignant, and perfect for a lazy day. It's also getting us VERY excited for The Saxophones first full-length album, to be released June 1st. Keep your eyes peeled for that record - although a little birdie told us you won't have to look very far...
Only Girl releases Bittersweet Live & Acoustic EP
"Heights" - Volume 024 - The Lost Expedition
Only Girl is one of those distinctive artists who doesn't need loads of production. The sheer power of her voice alone is enough. That's why we're so excited about these acoustic versions of the songs on her Bittersweet EP. The Live & Acoustic edition features the four tracks on the original EP, plus a cover of Chris Malinchak's "So Good To Me". Listen HERE.
We hadn't heard much from Lyves since her 2017 Like Water EP, but apparently that's for good reason. She's just announced an ambitious project that she's titled Eight Rooms. Lyves will release eight new songs on a monthly basis, each one accompanied by a short film with a different director which will eventually tie together in subtle, intertwined connections. Watch the first film for "Still" above, then check her site in the coming months for more!
