This is the third and final chapter of the forest/fire trilogy: a 12-track journey through smooth lo-fi soul-hop and jazz-hop beats. Moods range from upbeat to chilled out, romantic to introspective.
You may remember Man with Roses from his feature on Vol. 067: Static Swagger. With a crunchy breakbeat, vocal chops in the classic hip-hop sampling tradition, and mellow synths holding everything together, the track positively screamed VINYL. Our relationship with the Lancaster, PA. based producer has continued to blossom over the years, with a pressing of his Silhouettes LP, the 2nd chapter in this trilogy forest/fire II, and continues with his latest forest/fire III.
