Description

Always Seeking is Jake Aaron's Americana opus. The follow up to his 2019 debut finds the British singer-songwriter looking across the pond for inspiration and finding it in the myth of manifest destiny. Says the artist, "I loosely imagined a noir Western, and something with a moving landscape, scenes and moods." Sure enough, these songs conjure up desolate salt flats and mesas, with a surfeit of tremolo guitars, Garth Hudson-esque organ, and Aaron's whiskey-soaked baritone carrying the day, these songs bear repeat listens. Our association with the artist began with Vol. 085: Mental Wealth, which featured the transportive "Give Me Your Horse." Available now in the VM Shop, this great release features a 22 x 22 inch poster  with original artwork by Anthony Macbain (Grand Theft Auto) pictured below!
