Florida based artist Carly Berry is a multi-hyphenate visual auteur, working as an illustrator, screen-printer, and graphic designer. With a keen eye for detail and a wicked sense of humor, Carly mines vintage pulp paperback novels, retro toys, and comics for the art in this volume. Text and illustration are equally prominent on this busy canvas, which reveals more and more upon repeated viewing. The clever pastiche is overlaid with a sharp sense of narrative, with reappearing characters and nested references that make it easy to get lost in this volume.

As the proprietor of creative studio It’s Not That Weird, Carly is adept at helping brands tell their stories visually, and has designed and illustrated beer labels, ice cream packaging, gig posters, album covers, logos, and more.
